The Department of Space Science and Engineering (DSSE) at National Central University is dedicated to education and research in space science and related engineering applications. The department offers Bachelor's, Master's, and Ph.D. programs, providing students with training in both scientific research and practical space technologies.

DSSE has long participated in domestic and international space science research projects and maintains close collaboration with space research institutions and the space industry. Our research and education cover areas such as the upper atmosphere, ionosphere, magnetosphere, heliophysics, planetary science, satellite payloads, CubeSats, radar systems, and space mission applications.

Space Science

Students interested in space science can explore research topics including the upper atmosphere, ionosphere, magnetosphere, heliophysics, planetary science, space plasma, and space weather.

Space Engineering

Students interested in space engineering can gain hands-on experience in space payloads, CubeSats, satellite systems, radar systems, remote sensing, and space mission development.

The department encourages students to participate in research projects, international conferences, journal publications, CubeSat training programs, as well as national, international, and commercial satellite missions. Through these opportunities, students develop research experience, teamwork skills, international perspectives, and practical abilities for future careers in space science and technology.
