To encourage both high school and vocational high school students who dream high and have a passion for space to apply to Department of Space Science and Engineering (DSSE) of NCU, and to encourage students to participate in space science research or industry research and development as early as possible, the Center for Astronautical Physics and Engineering (CAPE) from our school set a budget of up to one million NTD per year to subsidize outstanding and creative students to participate in space science and technology conference at home and abroad, visit and intern at space-related institutes, develop self-made payloads and CubeSats, granting our students a chance to realize their dreams.
Welcome to Department of Space Science and Engineering (DSSE), NCU.
NCU DSSE is the only institution of higher education to conduct space science and engineering research in Taiwan, and the breadth and completeness of space science research and education we offer are one-of-a-kind domestically. We have long participated in space science research projects at home and abroad and maintained close partnership with various space research institutions. Our department received a full budget subsidy provided by “Higher Education SPROUT Project- The Featured Areas Research Center Program” approved by the Ministry of Education this year, ensuring the Center for Astronautical Physics and Engineering (CAPE) be hypostatize in the next five years (2018-2022). At the same time, we actively participate in the third phase of the “National Space Technology Long-Term Development Program” (2019-2028) in Taiwan, cooperating with NSPO to execute various scientific missions and cultivate the next generation of talents in the space industry.
For students who are interested in Space Science, DSSE is your only choice to become a space scientist.
For students who are interested in Space Engineering, DSSE offers you the opportunity to participate in space missions and become space engineers.
