The Earth's atmosphere represents a very complicated sensitive system that is highly variable on different time and space scales. The manner in which coupling phenomena take place due to varying energy inputs from the Sun and from the lower atmosphere is a question that is yet to be understood. This long running workshop addresses the wide range of phenomena that determine, control, and influence the coupling processes in the atmosphere. We welcome both theoretical and experimental results from the lower atmosphere through the upper atmosphere, covering dynamical, chemical, and electrodynamical coupling processes. Scientific contributions related to VarSITI's ROSMIC project are encouraged.
This workshop is organized by the International Association of Geomagnetism and Aeronomy (IAGA), the International Commission on the Middle Atmosphere (ICMA) of the International Association of Meteorology and Atmospheric Science (IAMAS), and the Scientific Committee on Solar Terrestrial Physics (SCOSTEP). The 6th Workshop is locally organized and hosted in Taiwan by National Central University, National Cheng Kung University, and Academia Sinica.
